how hard is it to hunt a deer without a treestand?

i just had my treestand and my ground blind stolen a couple days before christmas. now i have nothing. i have been out of work for 3 months and hunting is all i have to keep my sanity. is it going to be more difficult for me to kill a deer if i am sitting on the ground or still hunting compared to being up in a tree or in a blind? any tips?
i know the terrain very well, i even know where they bed down, but it is all swamp…with that said, i cant even get close to where they are in all of this 1.5 feet of snow we have here.

hadnt had it that bad dont think id be out for long carpet for insulation and deck of cards really dont think would move much and sure couldnt move in it either kansas last year was bad but not for long but stayed bedded 10 days at cherrtvale se, same deer same spot all week bedded
