deer attractant problem?
i live in wisconsin and by a crp feild. i cant plant a food plot but does anyone know anything that i can put up in the field to atract deer. does anyone know any secrets how to grow bigger antlers on the deer and how to attract them to come out during the day not just at night. thanks
Just plant something you DO NOT want the deer to eat! That’ll bring them for sure!
But seriously… if you don’t want to plant something for them to eat, consider buying windfalls from a nearby apple orchard. Huge piles of apples will attract deer. Also, place salt licks around… deer like/need them just like horses do.
Another thing to try would be to place life size deer “models” in your yard. Sometimes the deer are attracted by them.
BUT, before you do anything… check with your local wildlife or natural resources department. Whoever is in charge of hunting. Baiting deer *MAY* be illegal in your state/county. NEVER shine lights on wildlife at night. Check out the laws, and then take into consideration what I’ve said.
